Efficiently Managed West Chester’s Government

In 1994, when Mrs. Stoker first took office; residents paid 75% of all property taxes collected in the township.  Now, residents pay less than half the property taxes. Commercial property owners now pay the majority of property taxes.

This shifting of the burden of property taxes is a result of aggressive growth in West Chester’s business districts. During her administration, Mrs. Stoker has overseen hundreds of new businesses bringing tens of thousands of new jobs to our community.

West Chester has become well known in the region as a safe, prosperous, well-run community with excellent schools and business opportunities.

Park acreage in the township has increased from about 170 acres in 1994, to more than 840 acres now at no additional cost to residents.
